Terms of Sale & Payment
These terms explain the ordering, pricing, payment, shipping and purchase conditions that apply when buying an outboard from Wharf Power Outboards.
Clear & Straightforward Payment
Wharf Power Outboards is based in Kenora, Ontario and sells new Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda outboard motors to customers throughout Canada.
Payment in full is required for purchases. Orders are not prepared for shipment until the applicable payment has been successfully received or approved.
Agreement to These Terms
By placing an order with Wharf Power Outboards, you agree to these Terms of Sale & Payment together with the other policies applicable to your purchase, including our Shipping & Warranty and Return & Refund policies.
Please review the product information and these terms carefully before completing your purchase.
New Outboard Motors
Wharf Power Outboards sells new outboard motors, including products from Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda.
Product availability may change. A product appearing on our website does not guarantee that it will remain available indefinitely.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the product specifications before ordering, including horsepower, shaft length, controls, starting system and other applicable specifications.
Need Help Before Ordering?
If you are unsure whether a particular motor is appropriate for your boat, contact us before completing your purchase.
Product Prices
Prices displayed on wpoutboards.com are presented in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise clearly stated.
Applicable taxes, shipping charges or other amounts associated with an order will be displayed or communicated as applicable to the transaction.
Prices and promotions may change without prior notice. A change in website pricing does not ordinarily affect an order that has already been accepted and paid, except where an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred or where applicable law requires otherwise.
Incorrect Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, specifications, prices and availability information accurate.
However, typographical errors, technical errors, incorrect pricing, inaccurate specifications or other unintended listing errors may occasionally occur.
If we identify a material error affecting an order, we may contact you to explain the issue and provide appropriate options, which may include confirming the corrected information or cancelling and refunding the affected order, subject to applicable law.
How Your Purchase Works
Select Your Motor
Choose the new outboard you would like to purchase and review its specifications.
Complete Payment
Provide the required customer information and complete payment using an accepted payment method.
Order Processing
Once payment and order information are confirmed, the order can proceed to fulfillment and delivery.
Payment Requirements
Unless Wharf Power Outboards expressly agrees otherwise in writing, payment in full is required for all orders.
We currently accept the following payment methods:
- Interac e-Transfer
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Apple Pay, where available
The payment method available for a particular transaction may depend on how the order is placed and the payment services available at checkout.
Paying by Interac e-Transfer
Customers choosing Interac e-Transfer must use only the payment instructions provided by Wharf Power Outboards for their order.
An order paid by e-Transfer will not be considered paid until the funds have been successfully received and associated with the applicable order.
Payment Security
If you receive unexpected payment instructions or are asked to send payment to different information than what was provided during your order process, contact Wharf Power Outboards before sending funds.
Visa, Mastercard & Apple Pay
Visa, Mastercard and eligible Apple Pay transactions may be processed through a third-party payment service provider.
By submitting a payment, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.
Payment providers and financial institutions may perform their own authorization, security or fraud screening before approving a transaction.
If a payment is declined, reversed or cannot be successfully authorized, the order may not proceed until valid payment has been received.
Protecting Customers & Transactions
Because outboard motors are high-value products, certain transactions may require additional verification before fulfillment.
We may contact the customer using information supplied with the order to confirm relevant transaction or delivery details.
Where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention or payment security, an order may be temporarily held while payment or customer information is verified.
Accurate Order & Delivery Details
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when placing an order, including:
- Full name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Billing information
- Delivery address
- Any information reasonably required to fulfill the order
Incorrect or incomplete information may delay payment verification, processing or delivery.
Delivery Charges
Wharf Power Outboards provides delivery throughout Canada.
Qualifying product orders over $2,000 receive free shipping.
Orders that do not qualify for free shipping are subject to our standard $300 flat-rate delivery fee.
Special circumstances, remote destinations or unusual delivery requirements may require separate arrangements. Where applicable, these will be communicated before shipment.
Additional shipping terms can be found on our Shipping & Warranty page.
Cancelling Before Shipment
If you need to cancel an order, contact Wharf Power Outboards as soon as possible.
If an order has not yet entered fulfillment or shipment, we will review whether it can be cancelled.
Once an order has shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible and the request may instead be subject to our Return & Refund Policy.
Returning a Purchase
Eligible return requests are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.
Customers should contact Wharf Power Outboards before sending an outboard back. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
Approved refunds are generally returned through the original payment method where possible.
Manufacturer Warranty
New outboard motors may be covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty duration, coverage, exclusions, registration requirements and claim procedures can differ by manufacturer and product.
The applicable manufacturer warranty documentation should be reviewed for the specific terms associated with your motor.
Questions About a Transaction
If you believe there is an error with your payment, order or refund, please contact Wharf Power Outboards promptly so that we can review the transaction.
Nothing in these terms prevents a customer from using any legitimate dispute or payment rights available through their financial institution or under applicable law.
Customers should not knowingly make false claims about a transaction or dispute a valid authorized purchase using inaccurate information.
Applicable Consumer Protection
These Terms of Sale & Payment are intended to explain our standard commercial terms. They do not exclude, restrict or replace any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
If any provision of these terms conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement applicable to a particular transaction, the mandatory requirement will apply to the extent of that conflict.
Policy Updates
Wharf Power Outboards may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, payment methods, shipping practices or applicable requirements.
The current version will be published on this page.
